Since you will live in Sheffield it's very hard to get out again from Sheffield because you will be in real love with it.and regarding the transportation you can Get on a train in London and in just a little over two hours you'll be getting off at Sheffield. The Sheffield Parkway will take you from the M1 to the city Centre in five or ten minutes. The University has its very own stop on Sheffield's Supertram network. This means you can get here from the railway station in less than ten minutes. The trams also link up leisure and shopping venues like Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield Arena, Ice Sheffield, Valley Centertainment and the huge Meadowhall Centre. You don't need to purchase your ticket before you board as there is a conductor on every tram. They're a lovely way to travel.
