Purley Language College was established in 1928 and is situated just 20 minutes on the train from central London. They teach English and other languages. It is a family-run school and is open all year round to adults, teenagers and children. This college is accredited by the British Council and inspected by England's Independent Schools Inspectorate. It is also licenced by the UK Border Agency as a 'Highly-Trusted Sponsor'. Their staff is helpful and offers guidance to all the new students who come to study English with them.

English Courses for Adults
The college accepts part-time and full-time students on Adults Courses. Some students come for just a few weeks, others for a year or more. Adult students can attend individually or as part of a group. At the college, teachers always try to mix you with students from other countries. Maximum class size is 15. They choose themes that are appropriate for your age, interests and level. They can help you prepare for exams such as Ielts, FCE and CAE.
English courses for young adults
Purley Language College has courses specially for teenagers aged 12 to 15 and for young adults aged 16 and over. The classroom usually has a mix of students from different countries, but this will depend on the time of year. Their classes for teenagers and young adults use materials that are appropriate for their age. Teachers select themes that will interest students, such as food, fashion or sport, and encourage the students to practise speaking the language as much as possible. Teachers do lots of pronunciation work and teach useful language that can be used in real situations. The academic staff can help students to pass recognised English language examinations such as FCE, CAE or Ielts.

For Accommodation: There are two choices:
The Hazel Residence: The residence is located just 2 doors from the language school. It is a flexible ensuite accommodation for adult students and other guests. It is 5 minutes from Purley Station and fast connections to London Victoria and London Bridge.
Homestay: Homestay accommodation is of a very high standard and is with a local English-speaking family. Most families are located between 5 and 20 minutes on foot. All the families speak English to native level and will speak English with you as much as possible.
