Provided courses

General English

General English courses are designed to help students communicate successfully and confidently in real-life situations. Classes have a maximum of twelve students, to ensure that every student receives personal attention from their teacher. Although classes have a focus on speaking and listening, students have the chance to practise all four skills, helping them reach their full potential.

 Long Term English Language courses

Long Term English Language courses are perfect for students who want to spend 6 months (24 weeks) or more studying English and experiencing life in an English-speaking country. These courses are also ideal for students who want to prepare for future study, who are getting ready for entry to university, or who need to improve their English for their future careers.

English Examination Preparation Courses

The school offers courses that assist students in preparing for a variety of internationally recognised English language exams. These exams are widely respected and are accepted by employers and educational institutions worldwide. St Giles offers Cambridge examination preparation courses for the FCE, CAE and CPE exams in the UK, USA and Canada.

It also offers IELTS preparation as part of our International Semester programmes, and exam preparation courses for the TOEFL qualification. Students can also prepare for the TOEIC, an English language examination designed to test the everyday language skills of people who use English in the workplace.

English for Special Purposes

These courses allow you to develop your ‘real-world’ English. They are designed to give you the skills and experience you will need for your future studies or career.
