About Keele University
Keele University is situated in the heart of the UK, with a big campus nestled in 600 acres of countryside, home to a small and cosmopolitan community. The University is composed of three faculties, and each faculty is divided into different schools. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: It has the following schools: School of Humanities (American Studies, English, History, Film Studies, Languages, Music, Music Technology, Culture and Creative Arts), Keele Management School (Accounting, Finance g, Economics, Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management), School of Law, School of Social Science and Public Policy (Sociology, Criminology, Education, Social Work), and School of Politics, Philosophy, International Relations and Environment (SPIRE).
Faculty of Natural Sciences: It is divided into the following schools: School of Computing & Mathematics, School of Life Sciences, School of Geography, Geology & the Environment, School of Chemical & Physical Sciences, School of Psychology, and Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Finally the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences: It is composed of School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Nursing & Midwifery, and School of Health & Rehabilitation.

Foundation Year at Keele University
Whether you have non-traditional qualifications, want to change your subjects, have had a break from education and wish to return or want a change of career – the foundation years at Keele provide an opportunity for those with diverse backgrounds to access an honours degree.
The university offers various foundation courses:
The General Foundation Year: It is a stand-alone course which can be studied full-time over one year, part-time over two years or as bite-size packages. The programme comprises a mixture of subject-based study and generic academic development, individually tailored to your aspirations and interests. you may apply through UCAS for a place on a Keele degree (with the exception of Medicine, Physiotherapy or Social Work.)
The Science Foundation Year : It provides a scientific background customised to your needs, helping you to progress to the subsequent years of a degree programme at Keele. An extensive choice of modules is available from the life, physical, geographical and environmental sciences; mathematics; computing and psychology.
The Humanities Foundation Year: It provides a solid grounding tailored to your individual needs, helping you to progress to the subsequent years of a humanities degree programme. It covers intensive modules that provide the requisite background for specific honours courses for those without the necessary qualifications.
The Social Science Foundation Year: It provides a chance to sample social science subjects at university level before making a final choice of honours courses. The courses are intensive modules that provide the requisite background for specific honours courses for those without the necessary qualifications.
The Business Foundation Year: It gives an excellent preparation for a wide range of subjects relating to business, management, accounting, finance and economics. The programme consists of a set of modules that has been approved by Keele Management School.
Keele University has the largest area of campus in the UK and in that, green and pleasant area it has 3,200 rooms available to students, international students being guaranteed a room for the entire duration of their full-time study. All rooms are furnished (with bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bedside cabinet, desk and lamp) and are heated.
All new students receive accommodation application forms sent out by the admission offices. There are various types of room (including washbasin/en suite, in single-sex blocks) and various periods of let (34, 37 and 51 week) depending on what kind of student you are and your preferences and budget.
