PRE-SESSIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES
In addition to year-round study skills programme, the university offers a range of pre-sessional English and academic skills courses. If you need to improve your English skills before you start your degree in order to meet the English language requirements.
All courses are taught on weekday evenings, with nearly 80 BA, BSc and LLB 3-year undergraduate degrees, and over 200 postgraduate taught and research programmes also mostly taught in the evenings. Most 3-year undergraduate degrees are also available as 4-year, and sometimes 6-year, part-time study options.
Student Services and Facilities
My Birkbeck student advice and support centre, including a newly upgraded dedicated student support website covering a full range of services. Library, recently refurbished with over 400 study places, more than 100 databases and more than 30,000 electronic journals; comprehensive computing services and IT training.
While the majority of students decide to live in private accommodation, the university also offers student accommodation. Birkbeck students can access places in University of London intercollegiate halls and apply for places in the halls run by specialist provider UNITE.
